How Can I Properly Dispose of Unused or Expired Prescription Medication?

There are NINE permanent kiosks in Pacific County to dispose of any unwanted prescription medication. Additionally, several pharmacies throughout the county allow you to drop off any unused / expired medication.

These are safe alternatives to flushing them down the toilet, or disposing them down the sink - this pollutes our water systems.

Twice per year, local community partners come together from 10am - 2pm to provide an opportunity for our community members to safely dispose of unused, unwanted prescription medication (don't forget, this includes pet medication too). In the last year alone, Road 2 Resiliency, in collaboration with community partners, collected over 250 pounds of unused or expired medication!

This wouldn't be possible without the help and support of county-wide partners!
